Financial Contracting Specialist

Job Description

The Financial Contracting Specialist works collaboratively across internal teams with a focus on contracting, budgeting, financial documentation, compliance, and best practices in financial operations. This position plays a key role in delivering responsive support across the organization and its partners while helping ensure fiscal accountability and effective stewardship of public resources.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams to process contracts and provide solution-focused technical assistance and training related to contracting, budgeting, financial compliance, and fiscal monitoring, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and applicable regulatory guidelines.
  • Review and validate budget submissions and financial documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with funding requirements.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all technical assistance interactions and related activities.
  • Support the design, development, and delivery of high-quality training materials, tools, and resources to improve accessibility, engagement, and effectiveness of training and technical assistance on financial and contracting topics.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal staff and external partners to promote collaboration, financial stewardship, and overall effectiveness of shared initiatives.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-5 years of customer support or technical assistance experience, preferably in contracting, budgeting, financial compliance, or financial operations, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
